Ruakura is looking for a practical, hands-on and technically minded individual to join our team in Traralgon.

This is a varied role combining customer service, farm deliveries, equipment installation, servicing and maintenance. You will work directly with dairy farmers throughout Gippsland, helping customers maintain effective hygiene systems and ensuring their equipment is operating reliably.

The role is ideally suited to someone with experience in electrical, plumbing, mechanical or similar hands-on trades. A formal trade qualification is not essential — practical ability, problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn are what matter most.

About the Role

Based in Traralgon, you will primarily work throughout Gippsland, driving a company truck on scheduled delivery runs to dairy farms.

Alongside deliveries, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, servicing and maintenance of a range of electrical and mechanical equipment, including dosing systems, chemical pumps, diaphragm pumps and other fluid-handling equipment.

Previous experience with this type of equipment is advantageous but not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to the right person.

Requirements

1. Current Driver’s Licence – essential
2. MR Licence – required or willingness to obtain one as soon as possible
3. Forklift Licence – required or willingness to obtain one as soon as possible
4. Ability to travel throughout the Gippsland region
5. Physically capable of handling deliveries and equipment

Main Responsibilities

1. Organising weekly delivery runs and delivering products directly to dairy farms
2. Installing, servicing and maintaining dairy equipment
3. Providing technical support to customers
4. Responding to system alerts and troubleshooting equipment issues
5. Basic maintenance and fault finding of installed equipment
6. Assembly of fluid-handling equipment
7. General cleaning and maintenance of the factory and work areas
