We're Hiring: Customer Support
Want to kick-start or grow your career in media and technology? Join Streem's Customer Support team and help some of Australia and New Zealand's leading organisations stay on top of the news.
Streem operates in a fast-paced, 24/7 media environment, and our Customer Support team plays an important role in making sure our clients get the most out of our platform.
We're looking for a curious, organised and customer-focused person to join us in a full-time, Monday-to-Friday role during daytime hours. If you enjoy helping people, solving problems and learning new things, this could be the perfect role for you!
About the role
As part of our Customer Support team, you'll help clients get the most out of Streem's real-time media intelligence platform while supporting the wider team with a range of day-to-day tasks. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience across customer service, media monitoring, reporting and SaaS technology, while building the skills and knowledge to grow your career in the media and technology industry.
We're looking for someone who's eager to learn, takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Supporting our customers: Respond to customer questions via phone, email and live chat, helping them navigate the Streem platform and get the information they need.
- Helping customers get started: Assist with setting up customer briefs and getting new clients up and running on the platform.
- Supporting the Account Management team: Help with everyday tasks such as data entry, building and exporting briefs, and testing new product features.
- Creating media reports: Assist with preparing, reviewing and delivering media insights reports for customers and internal teams.
- Working with media content: Help produce transcripts and summaries, prepare media brief documentation, and download relevant media for clients.
- Keeping things accurate: Maintain databases, check the quality of news content on our platform and export data for reporting.
- Sharing ideas and feedback: Work with our Account Management and Operations teams to pass on customer feedback and help improve the platform and customer experience.
About you
You're someone who enjoys working with people, has a good eye for detail and is keen to build their skills in a customer-focused, technology-driven environment.
You have some experience in customer service or administration, or you may be looking to take the next step after study. What matters most is your attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work well with others!
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in customer service, customer support, administration or another customer-facing role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly and confidently.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to ask questions, take initiative and work through problems.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage different tasks and deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset and an interest in learning new systems, tools and ways of working.
- An interest in Australian news, current affairs, media or technology.
It would also be great (but isn't essential) if you have:
- A Bachelors' or Master's degree in Communications, Media, Public Relations, Journalism, or another relevant field (completed or in progress).
- Experience in media, news, communications or a similar industry.
- Familiarity with media monitoring, media intelligence or social listening tools.
- Experience using Excel, CRM systems or project management tools, or an interest in learning them.
You don't need to tick every box to apply. If you're motivated, keen to learn and excited about the opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
