About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our friendly and collaborative Oral Health team within our multidisciplinary Primary Health Care Service.

Maari Ma has a schedule of visiting dental clinics that you will provide chairside assistance, oral health prevention and promotion and dental room support across a variety of dental procedures for booked clinics and during non-clinic periods provide coordination of the visiting services, including, administrative support, arranging patient appointments, patient flow and referral support and orientation for current visiting dental clinicians.

To be successful in this role you will have;

- Previous dental assisting experience

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Organised, reliable, and team-focused

- Experienced with computers and dental software

- Passionate about providing exceptional patient care

Key responsibilities

- Chairside assistance across a variety of dental procedures

- Maintaining high standards of sterilisation and infection control

- Preparing, setting up, and packing down treatment rooms including stock control and ordering.

- Supporting patients to feel comfortable throughout their visits

- Coordinating the visiting clinics including, patient flow, patient appointments and referral support, the visiting schedule and orientation for new visiting dental clinicians (supported by the wider team).

Attractive Salary up to $91,239 gross per annum plus superannuation
