Darwin Smiles is growing across both of our locations, and we're looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to step into a more senior chairside role with a strong focus on surgical treatment.

This senior role suits someone with dental surgery experience (or ready to learn) who wants more responsibility, more complex cases, and recognition for their expertise.

Key responsibilities

- Chairside assisting for general and surgical procedures
- Assisting our Periodontists and Endodontists
- Surgical set-up, sterilisation and instrument care
- Explaining post-operative care and oral hygiene to patients
- Infection control and keeping treatment rooms ready
- Ordering and managing clinical stock
- Basic lab work such as pouring and trimming models
- Occasionally helping at the front desk when needed

About you

- At least 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant in an Australian practice




- Experience assisting with surgical procedures; time spent working alongside a periodontist or oral surgeon will be highly regarded
- Organised, with an eye for detail, and comfortable working without someone looking over your shoulder
- Calm and friendly with patients, especially nervous ones
- Well presented and reliable
- Experience with Core Practice is a bonus
