The DevOps Engineer builds and maintains CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure, supporting reliable, automated software releases.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to support software releases.
- Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
- Automate routine tasks and deployments using Bash, Python or PowerShell.
- Support infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Manage source code repositories and support Git branching and code review processes.
- Assist with container deployment and management using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor system availability, performance and logs, and troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Collaborate with development and testing teams to improve release reliability.
- Apply security patches, manage access permissions and support secure handling of credentials.
- Support backups, recovery procedures and environment maintenance.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployments and operational procedures.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline,
or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud operations, systems administration or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Azure DevOps.
- Working knowledge of Linux administration and command-line tools.
- Basic scripting skills in Bash, Python or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Git and version control practices.
- Understanding of Docker and containerisation concepts.
- Basic knowledge of networking, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP and firewalls.
- Solid troubleshooting, communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and manage assigned tasks within agreed timelines.
- Desirable: exposure to Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Desirable: familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
- Desirable: understanding of cloud security and access management.
- Desirable: relevant AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or DevOps certifications.
- Desirable: experience working in Agile development teams.
