About the role

Village Pharmacy is looking for an experienced and reliable Dispensary Technician to join our friendly team on a permanent part-time basis. This is an important role within our pharmacy, supporting our pharmacists and helping ensure the dispensary operates efficiently, accurately and with a high level of customer care.

Key responsibilities

- Assist pharmacists with the preparation and processing of prescriptions.
- Enter and maintain prescription and patient information accurately.
- Prepare, label and assemble medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Assist with Webster packs and other medication packing requirements.
- Manage dispensary stock, including ordering, receiving and replenishment.
- Monitor stock levels, expiry dates and product rotation.
- Process special orders and follow up outstanding items.
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient dispensary workspace.
- Assist customers with prescription collection and general enquiries, referring clinical questions to the pharmacist.




- Work closely with pharmacists and the wider pharmacy team to provide a high standard of customer service.

About you

- Experienced in a pharmacy dispensary environment.
- Accurate and organised with strong attention to detail.
- Confident working in a busy pharmacy.
- Friendly, professional and customer focused.
- A solid communicator and team player.
- Reliable and able to manage competing priorities.
- Comfortable using pharmacy dispensing and point-of-sale systems.
- Committed to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
- Previous experience as a Dispensary Technician is highly regarded, with relevant pharmacy training or qualifications desirable.
