About the role

Summit Homes Group is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Trainee Estimator to join our Modular team in Canning Vale.

This is a great opportunity to start your career in residential construction, learning how building costs are calculated, materials are priced and estimates are prepared to support the construction of our modular homes.

Working alongside our experienced Estimating team, you'll receive hands-on training and support as you develop your skills and confidence. As your knowledge grows, you'll gradually take on more responsibility and work towards preparing estimates independently.

Some of the things you'll learn and be involved in include:

- Assisting with preparing cost estimates for new homes, contracts and building variations.

- Learning to read building plans and calculate material quantities and costs.

- Checking supplier pricing, maintaining accurate records and reviewing cost information.

- Working with our Sales, Drafting and Construction teams to support projects.

You'll also gain experience using estimating software and develop a practical understanding of building materials, construction processes and industry requirements.

About you

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has an eye for detail and is keen to learn something new.

You don't need previous construction or estimating experience – we'll provide the training and support to help you succeed.

You might be starting your career, have experience in administration or customer service, or simply be looking for a new direction.

What we're looking for:

- Good numerical skills and attention to detail.

- Confidence using computers, particularly Microsoft Excel.

- Strong organisational and communication skills.

- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work as part of a team.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is reliable,



curious and ready to build their skills in a supportive environment.

Where you'll be working

You’ll be based at our Summit Modular facility in Canning Vale, working alongside our production and construction team to manufacture and assemble quality modular homes.

You’ll be part of Summit Homes Group, one of WA’s established residential building groups, while working within an innovative and growing area of residential construction.
