Tarremah Steiner School is looking for an experienced educator who is prepared to commit to the challenge and rewarding task of working with our Little Kinder children (thee year olds turning four). This is a part-time, fixed-term position, starting in January 2027.

The successful applicant will be a passionate and innovative educator, who relishes being collaborative, self-motivated and adaptable, fostering strong relationships which allows for individual and organisational growth. They will be appropriately qualified in Early Childhood Education. The candidate will have a genuine passion for education and an openness to balancing their own beliefs with Anthroposophy. Experience in Steiner Education and Pedagogy is highly desirable.

A desire to be reflective, learn more and grow as an educator and as a human being is essential. We are committed to developing our Steiner pedagogy to nurture students’ imagination, creativity and skills for the future. The successful applicant would be expected to fully participate in the School’s collaborative leadership model, where each individual holds responsibility for their work, supported by an active College of Teachers, Faculty and School Executive.

Tarremah offers classes from Playgroup to Class 10 with around 300 students. Our location allows us to take advantage of Tasmania’s wilderness, world heritage areas, coastlines, and indigenous cultural sites. The city of Hobart offers a vibrant cultural life that rivals larger cities, while its smaller size makes more of this culture accessible to everyone.
