About the role

Daycare on Lincoln is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team in Port Macquarie, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the development and wellbeing of young children in our care. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating nurturing, stimulating environments where children can learn, grow and thrive during their most formative years.

What you'll be doing

- Planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate learning activities and educational programmes that foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical development
- Creating safe, clean and stimulating classroom environments that encourage exploration, creativity and learning
- Observing and assessing children's development, progress and behaviour, maintaining detailed records and communicating with parents and carers about their child's achievements and milestones
- Providing attentive, active supervision and duty of care to children throughout the day, ensuring their safety, health and wellbeing at all times
- Supporting children's emotional development by building positive relationships, encouraging independence and helping them develop social skills and confidence
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality care and education practices across the service
- Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, national quality standards and service policies, including the Safeguarding of hygiene and safety protocols




- Building positive relationships with families and engaging in regular, open communication to support continuity of care and learning
- Contributing to the development and review of educational programmes and service procedures

What we're looking for

- A recognised Early Childhood Education and Care qualification or equivalent (such as a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain this qualification
- A Working With Children Check (WWCC) or ability to obtain one prior to commencement
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development theories and contemporary early childhood education practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Strong organisational and planning abilities with attention to detail
- Patience, empathy and genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute positively to workplace culture
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the changing needs of children and families
- Understanding of and commitment to child protection, duty of care and professional ethics
- Experience working in an early childhood education setting is highly desirable
