Ready to make an impact at scale? As consultants, we find and fix problems!
You know the National Law and Regulations very well. You’ve walked a service through Assessment & Rating, written a QIP that actually got used, and coached a team from “we have to” to “we want to.” Now you want your expertise to reach further than one centre.
At Astute Early Years Specialists, we partner with Approved Providers across Queensland, Current South Wales and Victoria. We help them lift quality, stay regulator-ready and build teams that can run without us. That last part matters most to us. We build capability. We don’t build dependency.
What you’ll do
- Run compliance reviews and mock assessments against the NQS, with sharp, evidence-based findings
- Know your numbers and help others know theirs; think revenue & occupancy, wages & debtors
- Coach and mentor Nominated Supervisors, educational leaders and educators to lead with confidence
- Build and refresh Quality Improvement Plans alongside your clients
- Support services through compliance notices and A&R; visits
- Deliver training and PD using Astute’s practice framework and template library
- Spot risk early and escalate it quickly. Child safety comes first, every time
- Have ninja-like skills with people; big, little and everything in between.
Why Astute
- Real variety. You’ll have your own portfolio of services across metro, regional, and interstate locations.
No two weeks look the same.
- Backup on hand. A current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check, plus a valid driver’s licence.
- Better tools. We use systems as tools and a complete policy template library, so you spend less time formatting and more time coaching.
- Room to grow. You’ll get structured practice training, peer learning forums, and a clear professional development pathway.
- Experience in developing and delivering professional development programs within the early childhood education sector.
- Car allowance. We provide a tool-of-trade vehicle allowance, because you’ll be on the road a lot.
What you’ll bring
- A Diploma or Bachelor in ECEC, or an equivalent approved qualification
- Experience as a Nominated Supervisor, educational leader, Approved Provider representative or in a similar compliance role
- Solid, current working knowledge of the National Law, Regulations and NQS
- A current WWCC and National Police Check, plus a driver’s licence
- A willingness to travel often (about 6-8 nights per month), including overnight and interstate trips
- Confidence with digital tools & systems.
- Loud car singing, dress-up personality vibes & must like dogs.
Bonus points for multi-jurisdiction experience, a coaching or training qualification, or a background in consulting or cluster management.
