Policom Pty Ltd is a Sydney-based electrical engineering consultancy and Level 3 Accredited Service Provider (ASP). We deliver electrical design for distribution network connections within the Endeavour Energy, Ausgrid and Essential Energy networks, alongside building services electrical design for commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure projects.

We are seeking for a full-time Electrical Engineer to join our team in our Caringbah office.

Your responsibilities will include

- Assisting senior engineers in the design and development of electrical systems for various building projects
- Performing electrical calculations, including maximum demand, voltage drop, fault level and cable sizing, to AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3008
- Designing building electrical services, including main switchboards, distribution boards, submains, metering, and power and lighting layouts
- Undertaking lighting design and modelling to AS/NZS 1680 and assessing compliance with NCC requirements
- Preparing design documentation, including drawings, design reports, specifications, technical submissions and correspondence to network operators and councils




- Reviewing architectural and services drawings for coordination and compliance with relevant Australian Standards and network requirements
- Attending site inspections to assess existing installations and verify site conditions
- Liaising with clients, builders, electrical contractors, architects and network operators throughout the design and approval process

To apply for the role, you must have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or an equivalent qualification recognised by Engineers Australia
- At least 1 year work experience in electrical design, consulting or a related engineering role (graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3008
- Proficiency with engineering calculation and drafting software, such as AutoCAD or similar
- Strong written communication skills for preparing technical reports and correspondence

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
