The Role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Draftsman to join our team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for producing and maintaining electrical drawings and documentation for industrial projects including:

- Electrical schematics and control circuit drawings

- Control and automation system drawings

- Electrical panel and switchboard drawings

- Cable schedules, termination drawings and wiring diagrams

- As-built documentation

- Modification and revision of existing electrical drawings

- Working with electricians, engineers and project managers to develop practical electrical solutions

About You

We are looking for someone with:

- Proven experience using AutoCAD Electrical

- Experience in industrial/control electrical design
- A sound understanding of electrical control systems and industrial electrical equipment
- The ability to interpret electrical schematics and translate practical electrical requirements into accurate drawings

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce clear, accurate documentation
- The ability to work independently while communicating effectively with our project and site teams




- A practical understanding of how electrical panels and control systems are actually built and wired

Essential Requirements

- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical

- Experience in industrial/control electrical design or industrial automation wiring/control panel building

- Experience producing drawings for switchboards, MCCs, control panels and machinery

- Familiarity with AS/NZS electrical standards and industrial electrical practices

- Australian citizenship

- Current open Australian driver's licence

- Ability to work in South Australia

Desirable

- South Australian Electrical Worker's Licence

- Experience with PLC, VSD, instrumentation or industrial automation systems

- Previous experience working within an electrical contracting or industrial environment
