AFL SportsReady is looking for an experienced and proactive Employment Services Operations Lead to coordinate and support administration, compliance, systems and operational activities across our national Employment Services programs, including Indigenous employment initiatives.

Based in Melbourne, this full-time role is instrumental in ensuring the effective and consistent delivery of trainee and apprentice administration, maintaining compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements, and driving continuous improvement across systems and processes.

Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring our programs are delivered efficiently, consistently and compliantly across Australia, supporting positive employment and training outcomes for young people nationwide.

The Role:

- Oversee and coordinate end-to-end trainee and apprentice administration, including onboarding, enrolments, inductions, completions and employment variations.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance across internal systems and relevant state and national apprenticeship and traineeship portals.
- Monitor regulatory, contractual and funding requirements, supporting compliance activities and internal and external audits.
- Identify, recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency and improve stakeholder experiences
- Provide operational and administrative support across employment programs, projects and initiatives.
- Monitor program data, prepare reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with Employment Coaches,



Finance, Payroll and other internal teams to ensure consistent and effective program delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with host employers, trainees, training providers, Australian Apprenticeship Support Networks (AASN) and government stakeholders.
- Support funding administration, claims management, policy reviews and internal staff training.

What we are looking for:

- Minimum three to five years’ experience in AASN, GTO or RTO administration with a strong background in quality and compliance.
- Knowledge and experience with the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.
- High attention to detail, planning and organisation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement practical solutions.
- Ability to follow systems and processes to maintain accurate records and budgets.
- Significant experience and understanding of data management systems, preferably ADMS and National State System portals.
- Ability to analyse data and generate reports.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.




- Have current, or be willing to obtain, Police Clearance and Working with Children Checks

Desirable:

- Knowledge and experience in Employment Awards
- Knowledge of Cloud Assess and JobReady systems, National State System portals (GTO).
