What you will love about this role The Australian Digital Health Agency is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join the Architecture team in a full-time, ongoing Executive Level 1 (EL1) role.

The Enterprise

Architect is responsible for providing strategic architectural leadership to ensure the Agency's business and technology investments, initiatives and services align with organisational priorities and support the delivery of secure, connected and effective digital health outcomes. Working across business and technology domains, the role develops enterprise architecture roadmaps, capability models, principles and standards that guide organisational planning, investment decisions and future-state design. The position provides expert advice to senior leaders and stakeholders, helping to ensure strategic initiatives are aligned to enterprise objectives and delivered within a well-defined architectural framework.

The role undertakes analysis of business capabilities, processes, information and technology systems to identify opportunities for improvement, manage architectural risks and support the successful delivery of complex programs and projects. Working closely with business areas, project teams and technical specialists, the Enterprise Architect influences decision-making, drives architecture governance activities and promotes consistent architectural practices across the Agency. Operating with a high degree of autonomy,



the role requires strong stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills, with accountability for delivering enterprise architecture outcomes that enable informed decision-making, support organisational transformation and contribute to better digital health outcomes for Australians.

Skills and experience (Essential criteria)

- Experience applying enterprise architecture practices within digital health, government or other regulated environments, including interoperability, information management, security and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership experience leading teams, managing performance and delivering strategic and operational outcomes in complex environments.
- Experience providing architecture governance and assurance across projects and programs, including reviewing solution designs and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Demonstrated experience developing enterprise architecture strategies, target-state architectures, roadmaps and transition plans that support organisational priorities, investment decisions and business transformation.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining enterprise architecture artefacts, including capability models, architecture principles, standards, reference architectures and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse business capabilities, processes, information and technology systems to identify improvement opportunities,



manage architectural risks and support organisational change.

Eligibility

Australian citizenship is mandatory. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a national police clearance and the required Baseline security clearance, with the ability to attain a higher-level clearance if needed.
