Location: McMahons Point, NSW 2060

Duties and Responsibilities

- Plan and prepare menus, including estimating food and labour costs and ordering supplies
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet quality and presentation standards
- Demonstrate culinary techniques and provide guidance on cooking methods and cooking procedures
- Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation




- Coordinate with managers, dietitians, and front-of-house staff regarding food preparation and service requirements
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations at all times
- Select, train, and mentor kitchen staff as required
- Preserve, store, and handle ingredients and food items appropriately, including freezing and other preservation methods

Qualification and Experience

- Holds at least AQF Diploma (in a relevant field) or at least 3 years relevant experience (at minimum)
- At least 1 year of experience as a Chef is preferred.
- Previous experience in European cuisine preferred

Skills Required

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with staff, guests, and suppliers;
- Basic understanding of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, cost control, and inventory management;
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to enforce compliance;
- Passion for the culinary arts and an interest in staying updated with industry trends;
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Annual salary package: $80,000.00 - 85,000.00 plus superannuation
