About the Opportunity

On behalf of our partner employers in Perth and Regional Western Australia, Home Migration Services is currently recruiting qualified and experienced Diesel Motor Mechanics (ANZSCO 321212).

Our partner employers are approved Australian Standard Business Sponsors. We are actively looking for qualified Diesel Mechanics to maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy commercial transport, trucks, buses, or mobile plant equipment across WA. Candidates currently in Australia with valid work rights and eligible for visa transfer or sponsorship are highly encouraged to apply. Offshore applicants with relevant trade credentials and skills assessment outcomes will also be considered.

Key Duties & Responsibilities (ANZSCO 321212 Aligned)

- Detect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic faults on heavy diesel engines and machinery.
- Dismantle, overhaul, repair, and reassemble heavy vehicle components including diesel engines, transmissions, torque converters, differentials, steering, suspension, and braking systems.
- Perform regular, scheduled maintenance services, oil changes, fluid flushes, tune-ups, and logbook servicing.
- Test, adjust, and calibrate repaired mechanical components using diagnostic software and computer-aided testing tools.




- Inspect heavy road transport or mobile equipment to ensure compliance with Australian roadworthiness standards and WorkSafe regulations.
- Maintain clean, protected work bays and adhere strictly to Western Australian WHS guidelines.

Candidate Eligibility & Requirements
- Qualification: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, or equivalent international trade qualification.
- Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of full-time post-qualification experience as a Diesel Mechanic on trucks, heavy transport, or mobile plant equipment.
- Visa Status: Onshore candidates holding an active visa with full Australian work rights (e.g., 485, 417, 408, or Bridging Visa) preferred.
- Skills Assessment: Positive Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) outcome (or eligible to undergo TRA skills assessment).
- English Proficiency: Meets minimum requirement for TSS 482 / 494 visa subclass (IELTS overall 5.0 / PTE equivalent or higher).
- Valid Driver’s License (HR license is an advantage for WA site roles) and WA White Card (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
