Buon Appetit is a busy, family-owned Italian restaurant located in the heart of Camden.

We pride ourselves on producing quality Italian food using fresh ingredients, traditional techniques and a genuine passion for cooking.

Our kitchen operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, regularly catering for hundreds of guests throughout service.

We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated and reliable Chef de Partie to join our established kitchen team.

This position is suited to a capable chef who takes pride in their work, understands the demands of a busy commercial kitchen and can consistently deliver quality food under pressure.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing your section, maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation, and ensuring smooth, efficient service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Managing your designated section independently during busy services.
- Completing daily mise en place and ensuring your section is fully prepared for service.
- Maintaining consistency in presentation, portion control and food quality.
- Working efficiently under pressure during high-volume services.
- Following recipes, preparation procedures and kitchen standards.
- Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Assisting with stock rotation, storage and minimising food waste.
- Communicating effectively with other chefs and kitchen staff.




- Contributing positively to a professional and supportive kitchen environment.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a skilled commercial kitchen.
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a comparable position.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a section independently.
- Experience working in a quick-paced, high-volume restaurant.
- Strong knife skills, food preparation techniques and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills and time management.
- Ability to remain calm, focused and efficient during demanding services.
- A strong work ethic, reliability and professional attitude.
- Genuine passion for food, quality ingredients and cooking.
- Ability to work collaboratively while taking responsibility for your own section.
- Availability to work our required trading schedule, including weekends.

Trading Hours & Availability

Our restaurant operates

- Wednesday to Friday – Dinner
- Saturday and Sunday – Lunch & Dinner
- Monday and Tuesday – Closed

Applicants must be available to work the required roster, including Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Weekend availability is essential and non-negotiable. Important – Local Applicants & Working Rights
