Quest Burwood East | Permanent Full-Time | 38 Hours Guaranteed

At Quest Burwood East, we believe exceptional housekeeping is one of the most important parts of a guest’s stay.

We are currently looking for one exceptional person to join our Housekeeping team in a permanent full-time position.

This is not a role where we are simply looking for someone to make beds and clean rooms. We are looking for an experienced Housekeeper who genuinely takes pride in their work, notices the details others miss and understands the difference between a room being clean and a room being beautifully presented and ready for a guest.

You will work directly alongside our Housekeeping Manager and become a highly trusted member of the team. We want someone who can be relied upon, who works confidently without constant supervision, who leads by example through the quality of their own work and who cares deeply about maintaining the standards of our hotel.

We place a strong emphasis on attention to detail, pride in work, reliability, maturity, flexibility, teamwork and the ability to work independently and to timeframes.

The position

This is a permanent full-time position with a guaranteed 38 hours per week, worked across five 7.6-hour shifts.

The regular roster will generally include:

- 3 weekdays
- Saturday
- Sunday
- Availability to work Public Holidays when rostered
- Monday to Friday: $27.0816 per hour
- Saturday: $33.8520 per hour
- Sunday: $40.6224 per hour
- Public Holidays: $60.9336 per hour

Weekend availability is therefore not optional for this position. Please only apply if you are genuinely available to work Saturdays and Sundays as part of your regular full time roster.

What we are looking for

We are specifically looking for someone with strong previous hotel, serviced apartment or accommodation housekeeping experience.

You should be someone who can walk into a room and immediately see what needs attention. Hair in a bathroom, fingerprints on glass, dust on a surface, linen that is not sitting correctly, an amenity missing,



something that does not smell right, a maintenance issue or a small presentation detail that could affect the guest experience.

You will be expected to clean and present guest apartments to Quest standards, complete departure and stayover services, make beds, clean bathrooms, kitchens and living areas, replenish amenities, maintain housekeeping equipment and trolleys, assist with common areas and promptly identify and report maintenance or presentation issues.

- Works well alongside Housekeeping, Front Office and Maintenance

- Notices problems and communicates them rather than walking past them
- Is willing to help the wider team when needed
- Understands that consistency matters just as much as speed
- Wants to become someone the Housekeeping Manager and wider hotel team can genuinely rely on

Quest's own performance standards require rooms to be completed efficiently, presented consistently to brand standards and for unresolved room issues to be accurately identified and reported. Why this role is different

You do not need to have a management title.
