About us
We’re a busy floral shop with an adjoining tearoom. We pride ourselves on great customer service, beautiful floral design and a friendly, quick-paced environment. We’re looking for an experienced, reliable florist who can also answer phone enquiries and assist in the tearoom when needed.
Key responsibilities
- Create beautiful hand-tied bouquets, arrangements and seasonal displays to shop and online orders and customer specifications
- Take and manage phone/email orders and enquiries professionally and promptly
- If needed able to help customers in the tearoom during busy periods (food/drink service, basic food prep, till operation)
- Maintain shop presentation, stock control, safe handling of flowers and perishables
- Prepare orders for collection and local deliveries (driving licence desirable)
- Support event work and floral installations when required
- Keep work areas clean and follow health & safety / food hygiene procedures
Requirements
- Proven floristry experience (ideally 2+ years) with strong design skills
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
- Comfortable multitasking between floristry and front-of-house/tearoom duties
- Reliable, punctual and able to work weekends / seasonal peaks
- Willingness to learn tearoom procedures; training in multi-skilling provided
- Food hygiene certification and driving licence are desirable but not essential (training/support can be offered where needed)
