About the Opportunity

On behalf of our Australian partner employers operating across New South Wales (NSW) and Western Australia (WA), Home Migration Services is currently recruiting qualified and experienced Welders / First Class Welders (ANZSCO 322313).

Whether working on heavy structural steel fabrication, pressure vessels, mining equipment, or architectural metalworks, our partner employers are approved Australian Standard Business Sponsors seeking trade-qualified professionals. Candidates currently in Australia with valid work rights seeking visa transfers, as well as offshore trade specialists eligible for skills assessment and employer sponsorship, are encouraged to apply.

Key Duties & Responsibilities (ANZSCO 322313 Aligned)

- Read, interpret, and work from engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and welding job specifications.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Stick (MMAW), and Flux-Cored (FCAW) welding equipment to join structural steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and alloy metals.
- Prepare metal surfaces and structural joints by gouging, beveling, grinding, and cleaning prior to welding.
- Ensure all welds meet strict Australian structural standards (AS/NZS 1554 / AS 1210 / ASME IX)



and undergo non-destructive testing (NDT/ultrasonic/radiographic checks).
- Position, align, and fit metal parts, plates, pipes, and assemblies using clamps, jigs, and measuring tools.
- Follow strict workshop health and safety (WHS/OH&S;) guidelines, including proper PPE usage and ventilation/smoke extraction safety.

Candidate Eligibility & Requirements
- Qualification: Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Welding) or equivalent trade qualification.
- Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of full-time post-qualification experience as a First Class Welder / Fabricator.
- Skills Assessment: Positive Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) skills assessment outcome (or eligible to undergo TRA assessment).
- English Proficiency: Meets minimum requirement for TSS 482 / 494 visa subclass (IELTS overall 5.0 / PTE equivalent or higher).
- Visa Status: Open to offshore applicants and onshore visa holders with active work rights.
- Valid Construction/Workshop White Card and clean driver’s license.
