We specialise in international sports, events, and entertainment logistics, supported by a strong International Freight Forwarding division and a loyal base of import and export clients across diverse industries. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to take ownership of an export function within a well-established business.

About the Role

This role will suit either an experienced export operator or a developing freight professional ready to take the next step. As an Export Operations Specialist at Gibson Freight, you will manage air and sea freight export shipments end-to-end while working closely with clients, overseas partners, and internal teams—including our in-house transport, warehouse, and screening operations.

You will be encouraged to take ownership of the export function, contribute ideas, strengthen client relationships, and play a key role in growing the division over time.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage export shipments (air & sea) from booking through to final delivery
- Maintain and build strong relationships with export clients
- Identify and support new business and growth opportunities
- Coordinate freight collections with internal transport teams
- Prepare accurate and compliant export documentation




- Liaise with overseas agents to ensure consistent service delivery
- Negotiate rates with airlines and shipping lines
- Work closely with internal warehouse teams on receivals, loading, and screening
- Ensure shipments are handled efficiently and commercially

Skills & Experience

- Experience in air and/or sea freight forwarding (export experience preferred)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
- A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to take initiative
- Willingness to learn, grow, and take on responsibility
- Commercial awareness or an interest in developing this skillset
- Current Australian driver’s licence

Experience with CargoWise will be highly regarded, though not essential.
