The AUSIEX Finance Team partners with other departments, providing financial information, tools, analysis and insight to management executives, challenging their thinking, helping them make more informed decisions and driving business strategy.
What Will You Be Doing The Finance Officer will support the Financial Accounting function in providing timely and accurate financial and management information.
The role covers a wide range of responsibilities providing critical support through a time of business improvement and growth,
whilst learning different aspects of financial and management accounting. In addition to the core responsibilities there will be opportunities to work on finance initiatives and projects in an ongoing basis.
Utilizing Your Natural Strengths Of Exceptional Attention To Detail & Ability To Navigate Through a Fast-paced Environment, This Role Is Based In Sydney And Will Have Accountability For:
- Process full function for Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable (incl. vendors, advisers & institutional)
- Cash flow & treasuring forecasting, managing daily cash flow movements, daily bank reconciliations and Daily Liquidity reporting
- Preparation of month end general ledger journals, including accruals
- Monthly general ledger analysis & balance sheet reconciliations
- Administration of the Corporate Credit Card and Corporate Travel Programs
- Assist with FBT return analysis
- Liaising with and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Preparation of ad-hoc reports and financial information with a high degree of accuracy
- Contribute to ongoing process and system improvements enhancing control and efficiency
- General administration support

- Degree qualified and ideally completing postgraduate studies
- 5+ years relevant commercial finance experience, ideally within a large corporate in Financial Services and/or Technology
- Experience in accounting and clerical functions
- Proven exposure to debtor and creditor related functions
- An in-depth knowledge of accounting principles
- Strong business analysis skills with experience in delivering process improvements
- Excellent excel & data management skills - you’re quick with your formulas & know when something doesn’t look quite right!
- Ability to apply effective time management, organisational and prioritisation skills to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong verbal and written skills that allows you to build trust & respond to high volume queries efficiently, accurately & in a helpful manner
- You’re not afraid to stop & consider the ‘why’ or ‘how’ when dealing with complex issues that arise from time to time
- Take initiative in following-up and resolving issues with suppliers, vendors &/or staff in a professional & timely manner
- Ability to identify possible problems and escalate to Finance Manager with recommendations of resolution
