About Us

At Ingleby Farms, we believe good farming can feed the world while protecting the environment for future generations.

We are committed to producing high-quality products through sustainable farming practices, with genuine respect for our environment, animals and people. Our culture is built on open communication, family values and a hands-on, innovative and trustworthy approach.

We are now looking for an experienced Financial Administrator / Bookkeeper to join our finance team and play an important role in supporting our growing farming operation.

This role is offered on a part time basis working Monday – Thursday (0.8 FTE negotiable), based from Ingleby’s office in central Launceston.

About This Role

This is a varied and hands-on finance role with responsibility for the day-to-day financial administration including payroll across multiple entities.

You will be responsible for:

- Accounts payable and receivable, including processing and reconciliation
- Bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Weekly internal bank transaction reporting
- Fortnightly payroll
- Human Resources administration and compliance tasks
- Working closely with the small finance team who will provide support and direction

It’s a busy role with a variety of stakeholders, competing priorities and deadlines. You’ll have ownership of your responsibilities while being part of a collaborative finance team.

About You

You will bring

- Experience working with accounting systems and confidence using Excel functions

- Excellent organisation and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
- A proactive, accountable approach and the confidence to take ownership
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to work effectively with everyone from farm managers and suppliers through to corporate stakeholders

An understanding of agriculture would be an advantage, but it’s not essential. What matters most is your curiosity, willingness to learn and genuine interest in understanding how the business operates. Ideally, you will have worked with Microsoft Dynamics NAV/business central system and Xero payroll, however we are able to provide training.

What We Offer

This is an opportunity to join a business where people, sustainability and long-term thinking genuinely matter.

You’ll enjoy

- A long-term opportunity within a values-driven agricultural business
- A varied role where your work directly contributes to business outcomes
- A supportive finance team with experienced accountants around you
- A family-oriented workplace that values and respects its people
- A centrally located office, close to many conveniences
- A competitive salary package that values experience
