OVERVIEW The Flight Operations Coordinator (FOC) reports to the Head of Flight Operations (HOFO). Key to the success for the FOC position will be exceptional time management and organisational skills ensuring all client, supplier and Casair personnel are able to experience the best way for transporting personnel and freight.

The FOC is proficient in the knowledge of:

- Aircraft operations for passenger and freight charter.

- Aviation regulations including flight and duty limitations, aircraft performance and operational limitations, dangerous goods, and general operations manual compliance.

- MS Office products.

The FOC is the primary point of contact for clients and suppliers during business ours and is responsible for ensuring that all after-hours calls are directed to a person approved to make decisions on behalf of Casair. The FOC is included as an approved person for after-hours contact.

The FOC also coordinates all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the business, with an emphasis placed the efficient operation of the flight department through the allocation of aircraft and flight crew, coordinating all information between clients, suppliers, maintenance, flight crew and management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client liaison:

Provide information to clients in the form of quotations, flight confirmations and/or any other operational data as required from time to time in accordance with Casair Policies and Procedures.

Working with clients to ensure information is current and accurate with regards to schedules, departure reports, passenger and freight information, delay, and diversion information etc.

Supplier liaison:





Ensuring matters affecting the efficiency of flight operations are arranged/completed in good time including landing and parking permissions, ground handling, fuel requests, crew accommodations, crew transfers and meals.

Working with approved cross hire aircraft charter operators to provide redundancy and other charter flights.

Working with suppliers to ensure on time and cost-effective supply of goods as required.

Staff liaison

Provide information to Flight Crew as required including data relating to flights including schedules, payloads, aerodrome information and any special requirements pertaining to the flight.

Provide information to the Sales team whenever an internal sales chance presents.

Schedule Flight Crew, ASO and CSO personnel for duties pertaining to their operational duties and managing the standards of the ASO and CSO personnel.

Office functions:

Freight: Processing of inwards and outwards freight on scheduled flights (including systems applicable to managing inwards and outwards items) including direct from Client or via Freight department.

Flight Ops: Ensuring all documentation is processed in accordance with Company requirements (including the auditing and processing of flight documentation, purchases, passenger manifests etc.).

Preparation of documents and taking minutes for applicable Company flight operations meetings.

Reviewing and improving company documentation applicable to the Operations department (other than Flight Operations) in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures.

Safety management:

The FOC is required to be an active team member to ensure the Company goes the best way with continual improvement through active reporting and participation in the Quality and Safety Management System.
