Role Description The Flooring Sales Specialist is a full-time, in office role based at Eastern Flooring Centre in Blackburn, VIC. In this position, you will greet and engage customers in the showroom, understand their project needs, and recommend suitable European Oak and other flooring solutions. You will provide product information, explain features and benefits, prepare quotes, and guide customers through the selection and purchasing process.

The role includes coordinating with installation teams, managing orders, and ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up. You will also help maintain showroom displays, update product knowledge, and contribute to a positive,



professional customer experience.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in retail or showroom sales, ideally within flooring, building materials, or home interiors.
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to listen, ask clarifying questions, and offer tailored solutions.
- Basic product knowledge in flooring or willingness to learn about European Oak, engineered timber, and related materials.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in explaining technical and design concepts in clear, simple terms.
- Ability to prepare quotes, handle point-of-sale transactions, and manage order documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfort working in an on-site showroom environment, including standing for extended periods and assisting with light merchandising tasks.
- Collaborative mindset and reliability in working with colleagues, installers, and suppliers to ensure a smooth customer journey.
- Basic computer skills for using sales, inventory, and scheduling systems; prior experience with CRM or POS software is an advantage.
- Interest in interior design, renovations, or construction, and enthusiasm for helping customers achieve their preferred flooring outcomes.
- Availability to work standard retail hours, including weekends or extended hours as required.
