Gelato Messina in Elisabeth Pier is opening soon and we are looking for a Barista to join our team. We're offering 28+ hours a week.

Your duties will be

- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso-based beverages, and other drinks.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and welcoming customer service
- Prepare and serve food items such as pastries and fresh toasts.
- Help serving gelato
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and café equipment
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation in line with food safety standards
- Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels as required
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Support the team with daily café operations, including opening and closing duties
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced workplace

The ideal applicant should:




- Able to work in excess of 28 hours per week
- Have a minimum of 1 year experience as a barista
- Have an excellent grasp of English and the ability to communicate with all types of people
- Able to work from 6am to 2pm in flexible shifts during the week and weekends

Training on our range of drinks will be provided. Only successful candidates will be contacted.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $34.76 – $41.72 per hour
