About the role

Reporting into the Group's senior leadership structure, you will be responsible for leading the Norquip business, which provides site, service and event solutions across North Queensland, including portable amenities, temporary fencing, liquid waste services, transportable facilities and event equipment. This is a broad, hands-on leadership role with accountability across people, operations, assets, financial performance, sales, customer relationships, safety and regulatory compliance. You will lead an established operational team while ensuring the business continues to deliver reliable service, strong customer outcomes and sustainable commercial results.

Key responsibilities

- Provide clear and practical leadership across the Norquip business
- Take ownership of financial performance, budgets, profitability and agreed EBITDA targets
- Develop and implement business plans that support sustainable growth
- Lead, support and hold managers and employees accountable for performance
- Oversee the effective utilisation, maintenance and deployment of the business's fleet and assets
- Ensure adequate people, equipment and resources are available to meet operational requirements
- Provide oversight of sales activity, customer relationships, pricing and commercial opportunities
- Build strong relationships with key customers and respond effectively to customer needs
- Support business development, networking and brand awareness across the region
- Ensure operations comply with workplace health and safety, environmental and other regulatory requirements

About you





- Proven experience leading a business, branch, region or substantial operational function
- Strong commercial and financial capability, including experience managing budgets and business performance
- Demonstrated people leadership and the ability to set expectations, build accountability and develop a capable team
- Experience managing assets, fleet, service delivery or logistics-based operations
- The ability to oversee and support a sales function and build productive customer relationships
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety and regulatory responsibilities
- Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confidence making decisions and addressing issues directly
- Explicit written and verbal communication skills
- Competence using Microsoft Office and relevant operational or business management systems
