Robert Half Executive Search is partnering with a successful national field services organisation seeking a General Manager to work closely with the Founder and Managing Director through the next phase of growth.

This is a broad and highly influential leadership role with responsibility across Operations, Finance, HSEQ, Scheduling, Logistics, HR and Administration. Reporting directly to the Founder, the successful candidate will play a key role in leading the day-to-day operations of the business, driving organisational performance and helping shape its future direction.

Offering a hybrid working arrangement, the role is based in the Gold Coast / Tweed Heads region, with an expectation of approximately three days per week onsite.

The Opportunity

Working alongside the Founder/ Managing Director, you will act as a trusted adviser and second-in-command, helping lead the business while contributing to its long-term strategy, growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day operations and performance of the business.
- Provide leadership, direction and accountability across Operations, Finance, HSEQ, HR, Administration and Scheduling functions.
- Support and mentor leaders across the organisation, building capability and improving performance.
- Drive commercial outcomes through strong financial oversight, forecasting and business performance management.
- Champion business improvement,



automation and process optimisation initiatives.
- Strengthen organisational structure, governance and accountability frameworks.
- Support customer growth, diversification and strategic business initiatives.
- Use meaningful reporting and business insights to support informed decision-making.
- Partner closely with the Founder on operational, commercial and strategic priorities.

About You

You are a well-rounded business leader with strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to lead people, improve performance and drive organisational growth.

You may have developed your career within finance, commercial leadership, operations or general management and now enjoy working across all aspects of a business.
