Role Description The Google Cloud & AI Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC. This role is responsible for designing and implementing scalable Google Cloud architectures that power AI-enabled HR solutions, including HRMS platforms and recruitment systems. Day-to-day tasks include defining solution architecture, selecting appropriate cloud services, overseeing infrastructure setup, and ensuring secure, reliable integration between systems and applications.
The architect collaborates with software development teams to design and review application components, supports deployment and optimization of AI and data workloads,
and provides technical guidance to stakeholders on best practices and emerging cloud and AI capabilities. The role also involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, improving system performance, and contributing to technical documentation and standards.
Qualifications
- Strong solution architecture skills, including experience designing end-to-end cloud and AI solutions.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure design and management, preferably on Google Cloud Platform.
- Background in software development, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Expertise in system and application integration, including APIs, microservices, and data pipelines.
- Solid architecture fundamentals, covering security, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Experience with AI/ML services on major cloud platforms and practical understanding of data engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with HR technology domains (HRMS, recruitment, performance management) is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams in a energetic environment.
