Canberra | Hospitality Leadership | Confidential Expression of Interest

Help us build what’s next.

There are hospitality jobs. And then there are opportunities to help build something.

We are an emerging hospitality group with our foundations in Canberra, operating across iconic locations, established venues, ambitious concepts and significant potential still to unlock.

But our ambitions - and our activities -extend beyond our venues and beyond Canberra.

Alongside our hospitality operations, the broader group has exposure to national FMCG, food service, hospitality and business transformation consulting, creating relationships, opportunities and perspectives that reach well beyond a traditional venue group.

Canberra is at our heart. But we don’t see Canberra as our boundary.

We’ve built strong foundations.

Now we’re building the leadership team that can take the group somewhere much bigger.

This isn’t recruitment off the back foot, and we’re not simply filling gaps in an organisational chart.

We’re deliberately investing in leadership capability ahead of our next stage of growth — and we want to meet exceptional hospitality people who may want to grow with us.

The Group General Manager opportunity

At the senior end, we’re looking for an exceptional Group General Manager who can help build the next version of the business. Not simply manage the current one.

We want someone who can move comfortably between strategy and execution.

Between the floor and the boardroom.

Between what needs to happen this weekend and where the business needs to be in three years.

Someone who understands that great hospitality requires both magic and maths.

You’ll care deeply about the guest experience, atmosphere, food, beverage and the thousands of details that make a venue special.

But you’ll equally understand the engine underneath it — revenue, labour, COGS, productivity, systems, leadership, data and profitability.

You’ll know how to develop exceptional venue leaders, create accountability without unnecessary bureaucracy and turn ambition into consistent performance.

And you’ll be excited by an opportunity that can extend beyond traditional venue operations.

As the group evolves, there is potential to contribute to opportunities across hospitality, food service, FMCG, consulting, current concepts and broader commercial partnerships.

You may already be a Group GM, Operations Manager or senior hospitality executive.

Or you may be an outstanding Venue Manager thinking:

I’m ready for something bigger.

We’re more interested in your capability, ambition and trajectory than the title currently sitting on your business card.

But this is bigger than one appointment

We’re building depth across the group. So we’re also interested in meeting exceptional:

- Venue Managers
- Assistant Venue Managers
- Duty Managers and emerging leaders
- Experienced hospitality operators looking for greater scope
- High-potential people ready for their next step

Maybe you’re an Assistant Venue Manager ready to run your first venue. Maybe you’re already running a venue and want a bigger stage.

Maybe you’re an exceptional operator who wants to eventually lead multiple venues.

Or maybe your ambition goes further again.

We want understand where you're heading and how we can get there, together.

Because we don’t want to build a business where the only reward for being great at your job is doing the same job for another year.

Some opportunities exist now.

Others will emerge as our venues, operations and leadership structure continue to grow.

There should be a ladder

As the group grows, we want our best people to grow with it.

That could mean

More responsibility.

A bigger venue.

Multiple venues.

Group leadership.

Exposure beyond Canberra.

And for exceptional people who create meaningful long-term value, potentially something beyond the traditional employer-employee relationship.

We’re building a model where outstanding performance can create opportunities for performance incentives, profit participation and, over time, potential pathways to equity.

We want our best people thinking like owners.

And as the business evolves, we want to create opportunities for some of them to participate more directly in the value they help create.

That opportunity has to be earned.

But the pathway can exist.

So if your ambition is eventually to move beyond simply managing somebody else’s hospitality business and have a genuine stake in what you’re helping build, we should probably talk.

We’re looking for builders

People who walk into a venue and immediately start seeing possibility. The guest who hasn’t been greeted.

The team member with leadership potential.

The product that isn’t moving.

The margin that doesn’t make sense.

The experience that could be better.

The system that could save the team hours every week.

The idea nobody has tried yet.

We want leaders who

- Build great teams rather than simply roster them
- Understand commercial performance without losing the soul of hospitality
- Set high standards and take accountability
- Develop the people around them
- See opportunities and make things happen
- Think beyond the four walls of a venue
- Are curious about how technology, data and AI can make hospitality better
- Have energy, ideas and ambition
- Still genuinely love hospitality

What are we trying to build?

Something bigger than a collection of successful venues. We want to create great hospitality destinations, distinctive brands, exceptional teams and a high-performance operating group behind them.

And we want to continue exploring opportunities across the broader food, beverage and hospitality landscape — in Canberra and beyond.

There is significant headroom in this business.

And that’s exactly what makes the opportunity interesting.

Not everything has already been figured out.

Not every system has already been built.

Not every opportunity has already been captured.

There is room to leave your fingerprints on what comes next.

For our Group GM, that influence could extend across people, performance, culture, systems, technology, new concepts, commercial opportunities and ultimately the future direction of the group.

For our emerging leaders, it means joining a business where the role you enter in doesn’t necessarily need to be the role you stay in.

We’re ambitious about what this group can become.

And we want people around us who are equally ambitious about what they can become.

This starts with a conversation

Many of the people we’d most like to meet probably aren’t looking for another job. You might be successful where you are.

You might be wondering whether you’ve reached the ceiling.

You might have thought about opening your own venue or building something of your own one day.

You might want greater responsibility but haven’t seen an opportunity big enough to justify making a move.

Or you might simply be curious about what the next three to five years of your career could look like.

That’s why we’re approaching this as a confidential Expression of Interest, rather than just another vacancy.

Send us your CV.

We want to learn:

What you’ve built.

What you’re proud of.

Where you want to go next.

And tell us what you could do if you were given the platform to help build something genuinely great.

All enquiries and conversations will be treated in strict confidence.

You don’t need to be looking for another job, we can just have a conversation...
