About the role
We are seeking an experienced Group Service Manager to lead a large, multi-brand service operation representing seven automotive franchises.
This is a senior operational leadership role with responsibility for the performance, profitability and customer experience of our service operations. You will provide strong leadership to the service management team, drive consistent standards across the business and ensure each franchise delivers against its commercial, customer and manufacturer objectives.

What you'll do
- Lead, coach and develop Service Managers and their teams across the group.
- Drive service department profitability, productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee workshop capacity, workflow, WIP and operational performance.
- Monitor key financial and operational KPIs and implement actions to improve performance.
- Ensure each franchise meets OEM customer satisfaction, warranty and operational standards.
- Support managers in resolving complex customer concerns and escalations.
- Maintain high standards of WHS, quality and regulatory compliance.
- Build leadership capability through recruitment, coaching, performance management and succession planning.
- Work closely with Parts, Sales and senior management to achieve broader business objectives.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement across the service operation.
What we're looking for
- Significant automotive service management experience, ideally across a large or multi-franchise operation.
- A proven record of achieving financial, operational and OEM customer satisfaction targets.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of service department financial drivers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and hold managers and teams accountable.
- Strong knowledge of workshop operations, productivity, efficiency, WIP and warranty processes.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and customer resolution skills.
- Confidence using service management systems, reporting and performance data to drive decisions.
- A practical, visible leadership style and commitment to building a high-performing team.
