Expression of Interest/ Group Tax Manager

About the Opportunity An established organisation within a Large Scale Fleet Australian organisation as an Group Tax Manager to lead its corporate taxation function. Operating in a highly regulated and complex project environment, this role will play a critical part in ensuring compliance, managing tax risk, and providing strategic tax advice to support major national infrastructure programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead all corporate tax compliance activities across Australian and international operations.
- Provide accurate and commercially focused tax advice on business initiatives, transactions, policies, and contractual arrangements.
- Review major contracts and projects to identify tax implications and mitigate potential risks.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance taxation governance and risk management frameworks.
- Partner with finance, commercial, legal, procurement, payroll, and people teams to ensure tax considerations are embedded in decision-making.
- Manage relationships with taxation authorities, external advisors, and auditors.
- Support financial reporting, tax-effect accounting, forecasting, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Prepare tax updates and reporting for senior executives and governance committees.
- Lead and develop a small team of taxation professionals.

About You You are a senior taxation professional with strong experience operating within large and complex corporate environments. You possess a deep understanding of Australian taxation legislation and have the ability to translate technical tax concepts into practical commercial advice.

You will bring

- CPA or CA qualifications.
- 10+ Years experience in Senior Tax Roles
- Degree qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in senior corporate taxation positions.
- Strong knowledge of Australian corporate tax, GST, FBT, employment taxes, and tax-effect accounting.
- Exposure to international taxation,



transfer pricing, cross-border transactions, and overseas business operations.
- Experience developing and managing tax governance frameworks and risk mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and contribute to strategic business decision-making.
- Robust communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.
