- Lead and manage the kitchen team in a professional and positive environment.
- Prepare and oversee a range of authentic Indian curries, sauces, marinades and gravies.
- Have strong hands-on experience with tandoor cooking, including naan, kebabs, chicken, lamb and other tandoor dishes.
- Develop and execute dishes with modern Indian presentation and contemporary plating techniques.
- Maintain consistency in flavour, portion size, presentation and quality.
- Assist with menu development, recipe creation and seasonal specials.
- Ensure all food is prepared to a consistently high standard during busy service periods.
- Manage food preparation, kitchen organisation and daily service requirements.
- Maintain food safety,
hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
- Monitor food costs, portion control, wastage and stock levels.
- Work closely with management to improve kitchen efficiency and profitability.
- Train, mentor and motivate kitchen staff.
- Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently during high-volume periods.
- Maintain a clean, organised and skilled kitchen at all times.
- Sponsorship may be available to the right candidate, subject to eligibility and applicable Australian visa requirements.
