About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HC Truck Driver – Float / Low Loader Operator to join our team on a full time permanent basis.

You will be responsible for transporting a wide range of plant and equipment between our depot, projects and work sites across Perth Metro and surrounding areas, with regional travel as required.

Our equipment fleet includes road profiling machines, slipform pavers, loaders, excavators, rollers and other heavy plant to meet the needs of our civil construction projects.

You will be allocated your own truck, operating a modern and well-maintained Volvo FH16, and will play an important role in keeping our projects moving safely and efficiently.





When float and plant transport work is quieter, you will also undertake semi end tipper work, providing variety and consistent employment.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely transport heavy plant and equipment between the depot, projects and work sites using a float or low loader.
- Load, unload, position and secure machinery in accordance with safety and load restraint requirements.
- Complete pre-start inspections, trip sheets and required documentation.
- Comply with WA road transport legislation, fatigue management and company safety procedures.
- Coordinate deliveries and collections with the scheduling team and site personnel.
- Perform routine truck and tyre checks, general maintenance and vehicle cleaning.
- Undertake semi end tipper work when float transport is not required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and on time.

What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current HC licence and experience transporting heavy plant, floats or low loaders.
- Proven experience loading and unloading heavy machinery, with strong knowledge of load restraint and securing requirements.
- Current WA Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (HVA) and knowledge of WA transport legislation and fatigue management.




- Confidence transporting plant and equipment across Perth Metro.
- Ability to complete pre-start checks, trip sheets and vehicle maintenance checks.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, work independently and communicate effectively with the team.
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused, with a professional attitude.

Previous experience transporting road construction machinery or working within the civil construction industry will be highly regarded. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be willing to undertake pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening, along with ongoing testing as required.
