About the Role

We are looking for experienced HC Truck Drivers to join our team, primarily carting quarry materials to our civil construction projects.

The role involves working in and out of quarries, transporting materials such as rubble, quarry products, aggregates and other construction materials to active civil sites.

We are looking for experienced drivers who understand quarry and civil construction environments, can work safely around heavy mobile plant and take pride in looking after their truck.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate HC/MC trucks safely between quarries and civil construction sites.
- Transport quarry products, rubble, aggregates and other construction materials.
- Work safely in and around quarries, stockpile areas and active construction sites.
- Position trucks safely for loading by loaders and excavators.
- Safely tip and discharge materials in designated areas onsite.
- Maintain valuable communication with quarry operators, site supervisors, machine operators and Operations.
- Use UHF radio communication when required onsite and within quarry environments.
- Ensure loads comply with applicable mass limits and are transported safely.
- Complete daily pre-start inspections and identify defects or maintenance requirements.
- Maintain trucks to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.




- Comply with fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility and relevant heavy vehicle requirements.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness when operating around loaders, excavators, dozers and other mobile plant.
- Work efficiently with the wider team to keep material deliveries and site production moving.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Current HC or MC Driver's Licence – required.
- Construction Industry White Card – required.
- Good driving history and demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles.
- Knowledge of heavy vehicle mass, fatigue and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
- Ability to complete vehicle inspections and identify basic mechanical issues.

- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Valuable communication skills and confidence using UHF radios.

Experience

Previous experience in quarry material haulage, tipper operations or civil construction is highly desirable. Experience with the following will be highly regarded:

- Working in and out of operational quarries.
- Carting quarry products and aggregates.
- Tipper and/or truck-and-dog operations.
- Working around loaders and other heavy mobile plant.
- Delivering materials into active civil construction and subdivision sites.
- Safe tipping on construction sites and around stockpile areas.

Working Conditions

The role will primarily involve daily material haulage between quarries and our civil construction projects across metropolitan Adelaide, with regional work required from time to time. Early starts and longer days may be required depending on project and carting requirements. All driving hours and fatigue requirements must be managed in accordance with applicable heavy vehicle regulations.
