Take the stage. Build the business. Help shape a national workshop brand from the ground floor.
Online Marketing Gurus, the largest independently owned digital marketing agency in
Australia, is taking what it knows to business owners directly. OMG Academy's in-person workshop program has already proven itself with workshops run across Australia.
Now we need a General Manager to step in.
If you know Google Ads and Meta Ads inside out, own a room when you present, love closing a deal, and get energised by a packed travel calendar, this is the role you've been waiting for.
Why OMG Academy
OMG manages campaigns for some of Australia's best-known brands. OMG Academy flips that model: we teach small and medium business owners and marketing teams to run profitable Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns themselves.
Position: General Manager, OMG Academy
Reports to: Curtis Kennedy, Co-Founder & CEO
Employment type: Full-time, permanent
Location: East coast of Australia: Sydney preferred; Brisbane or Melbourne considered
Travel Required: Regular interstate travel for workshops, events and sales
Salary: Negotiable based on experience, plus super and commission
Equity: An equity offer may be made to the right candidate
Start date: January 2027, or earlier by mutual agreement
General Manager – OMG Academy Workshops The engine of that is our two-day, in-person paid advertising workshop. No inspire-and-
forget seminars. Attendees build real campaigns in the room, get instant feedback on their own accounts, and walk out with live Google Ads and Meta Ads running and a clear plan to grow.
The proof of concept is done. We've run four workshops across Australia, attendees are getting results (one reported more than $30,000 in new revenue from Google Ads leads),
and 2026 and 2027 dates are already on sale in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.
The next chapter is scale, and you'll be leading it alongside the CEO.
The backing you'll have:
200+ specialists across the OMG group
1,000+ clients and 600+ five-star reviews
40+ industry awards, and Google Premier Partner and Meta Business Partner status The playbooks, tools and frameworks our agency teams use every day The role
You'll be the CEO's second in command and the public face of the OMG Academy workshops. One week you're on stage in Brisbane teaching a room of business owners to build a Meta campaign. The next you're closing a corporate group booking,
refining the workshop playbook and helping the CEO plan the next city.
It's a hands-on senior role with real influence. You'll present, sell, operate and help shape where the program goes next, with the backing of Australia's largest independent agency behind you.
What you'll do
1. Present and facilitate the workshops
Lead presenter at our two-day workshops, owning the Google Ads and Meta Ads content
Keep the room energised and engaged, from the opening session to the final Q&A;
Work hands-on with attendees: audit their accounts, troubleshoot campaigns and get them live before they leave
Keep content current as Google and Meta platforms change, and lift the standard of every session
Represent OMG Academy at expos, partner events and speaking engagements
2. Sell
Assist in driving workshop ticket sales through calls, emails, follow-ups and in-person conversations
Use your Google Ads and Meta Ads credibility to turn enquiries into enrolments
Spot and pursue new revenue: corporate and group bookings, partnerships and repeat attendees
Keep the CRM accurate so the pipeline is always clear
Feed objections, competitor insight and market feedback back into offers and messaging
3. Be the CEO's second in command
Work directly with the CEO on strategy, planning and day-to-day operations
Take ownership of projects and tasks as the business needs, from venue logistics to campaign reviews
Help plan the national workshop calendar and the program's expansion
Step in and lead when the CEO is unavailable
4. Run a tight ship
Plan and manage your own week across presenting, selling, travel and operations
Set priorities, hit deadlines and keep momentum without needing to be chased
Coordinate venues, suppliers and attendee experience before, during and after each workshop
