About the Position

Due to the continued growth of our business, this hands-on leadership opportunity takes ownership of managing the full finance function including:

- Payroll;
- Purchasing and inventory;
- Financial reporting;
- Compliance; and
- Cashflow management.

Leading a small finance team, you will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business while providing accurate reporting, strong governance, and commercial insights to support informed decision making. Your expertise in management accounting, systems, fixed asset management, equipment finance and compliance within the mining services environment will be highly valued in this key position.

As Head of Finance, you will work closely with leaders and stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and guidance, commercial advice,



drive continuous improvement and support the company’s ongoing growth and success.

The key role attributes are:

- Hands on finance leadership.
- Mentoring, coaching and developing team capability.
- End to end finance management including developing and maintaining effective financial controls.
- Establishing and improving financial processes to support business performance and scalability.
- Acting as a trusted financial advisor to the business.

Your Attributes As our business continues to evolve, you will bring a adaptable and proactive approach, support by these skills and experience:

- CPA/CA qualified or strong equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in a hands-on Head of Finance or equivalent senior finance leadership role within a similar industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in maintaining fixed asset registers and hire purchase schedules.
- Background or working knowledge of asset-heavy industries such as mining services, mining haulage/transportation, earthmoving, construction, engineering or similar.
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to identify opportunities and risks.
- Strong Excel capability and systems skills.
- Strong financial reporting and analytical abilities.
- Experience using Acumatica ERP highly desirable.
- Proven success in developing team capabilities.
- Agile and solutions centric.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A current National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one (less than 12 months old).
- Unrestricted Australian working rights.
