Melbourne
Head of Marketing & Partnerships, ANZ
Melbourne · Hybrid, with regular travel across ANZ · Full-time · Reports to the CEO
Package: A$170k–195k base plus super, plus performance bonus linked to results
When work changes, people retrain. In Australia and New Zealand, most of that happens in vocational education: TAFEs, RTOs and private providers teaching the trades, care, business and much more. AI is now changing a lot of work, and those providers need tools they can trust to keep up.
That's what we build at SupaHuman. We're looking for the person who makes sure the sector knows it, believes it, and wants to talk to us.
The short version
- Build and lead SupaHuman's marketing and partnerships across ANZ, based in Melbourne.
- Own pipeline, created through relationships, partners and community rather than ad spend.
- Report to the CEO and lead a small team. No agency and no inherited playbook.
- Join straight after our Series A, as we grow properly into Australia.
About SupaHuman
We build AI platforms that let regulated industries use AI safely. VETos, the AI Operating System for Vocational Education, designs assessments and learning resources mapped to a provider's scope and validates them before an auditor does. Nova delivers learning that students actually practise, rather than learning they sit through. Alongside them, AI Studio works with organisations in other industries to build AI that fits the way they operate.
Our products are used by vocational education providers across New Zealand and Australia, and our team works across Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland.
Why this role, and why now
- You build the function, not inherit one. A clear goal, a small team and the room to shape how marketing works here for years to come.
- The story is true, which makes it easy to tell. Providers using VETos and Nova save weeks of specialist work. You won't need to dress anything up.
- You'll be close to the founders and the customers. Decisions are quick, and you'll see the difference your work makes in the pipeline, not in a vanity report.
- The timing is right. Recent funding, real momentum in Australia,
and a sector at the start of a big shift.
What you'll own
Pipeline
- Accountability for the qualified opportunities that marketing and partnerships generate across New Zealand and Australia.
- Working hand in hand with sales and our Australian education team, so what you create turns into conversations and customers.
- Knowing which activity created which result, and putting money behind what works.
Relationships and partnerships
- Senior relationships across RTOs, TAFEs, PTEs, peak bodies, Jobs and Skills Councils and industry partners.
- Becoming someone people in the sector call for a view, not a vendor they hear from.
- A partner network that brings SupaHuman into conversations we wouldn't reach alone.
Community
- Events, roundtables, the SupaHuman Academy and content made with the people we work with, rather than about them.
- A calendar of activity that people in the sector actively want to be part of.
Brand and product marketing
- Positioning, messaging and launches for VETos, Nova and AI Studio.
- How we show up online, across our website, social and content: clear, honest and consistent.
- A plain, non-pitchy voice the sector trusts.
Team and ways of working
- Leading our Product Marketing Specialist in Auckland, and shaping a second hire.
- Running marketing AI-first, and pushing what that looks like for a team our size.
- Owning the marketing budget and reporting on what's working.
What valuable looks like after twelve months
1. Marketing and partnerships are a dependable source of pipeline across ANZ, and you can show what created it.
2. SupaHuman is a name senior people in the sector know and trust, with partners who bring us into the room.
3. Our website and social presence explain VETos, Nova and AI Studio clearly,
in a voice that's recognisably ours.
4. A regular rhythm of community and partner activity that people look forward to.
5. A small, AI-first team with a clear plan for how the function grows.
Who you are
You care about education and the people who work in it. You know that trainers, compliance leads and CEOs in this sector have been sold to plenty, and that trust is earned slowly. You'd rather build a relationship than run a campaign.
Our values are Be Brave, Be Hungry, Be Human. In this role, that looks like:
- Brave: you're prepared to push the boundaries of how a marketer operates, and to stop doing things that aren't working.
- Hungry: you want pipeline you can point to, and you'll build something that lasts rather than chase next quarter's numbers.
- Human: you put customers at the centre of your work, and people trust you because you tell them how things really are.
What you'll bring
- Senior marketing, partnerships or business development experience, ideally in vocational education or the wider education sector.
- A strong network inside ANZ education, or a track record of building one quickly.
- Pipeline you can point to, built through relationships, partners and community rather than paid channels alone.
- Daily use of AI tools, and a view on how they change the way marketing works.
- Strong writing. You can explain a technical product plainly to a non-technical audience.
- Experience leading a small team and building a function from its early stages.
- Comfort with the usual tooling: CRM and marketing automation (we use HubSpot), LinkedIn and a web CMS.
This probably isn't for you if
- You're looking for a large budget and a roster of agencies.
- You'd rather run campaigns than build relationships.
- You need a lot of structure around you to do your best work.
How to apply
Send us your CV and a short note covering two things: why this role, and one piece of marketing you're proud of that built trust rather than noise.
If you don't tick every box but this sounds like you, apply anyway. We'd rather hear from you.
