Wooden Horse has built an impressive slate of scripted television, from the award-winning The Clearing for Disney+ and two seasons of Mother and Son for ABC, to the new The Airport Chaplain for SBS and Netflix.

And there’s plenty more coming.

EP Australia is looking for an experienced Head of Production, or a strong Production Executive ready to step up, with significant experience in scripted television.

This is a senior, slate-wide role working closely with Wooden Horse’s Joint CEOs across projects from development and financing through pre-production, production, post and final delivery.

The brief is broad and hands-on: budgets and schedules, crewing and resourcing, production planning, broadcasters and funding bodies, risk, systems, audits, acquittals and wrap. Just as importantly,



it’s about having oversight across multiple productions and knowing where attention is needed before something becomes a problem.

You may already be a Head of Production, or a Production Executive ready for broader responsibility. You may have come through line producing, production management or production finance. Strong scripted production experience is essential, along with excellent Movie Magic or A-Z budgeting skills and sound commercial judgement.

This is not a creative producing role. It’s a production leadership role for someone who knows how to get scripted television made well, keep the detail under control and build robust production capability around them.
