Location: Perth, WA (regular national travel)

- Newly created national leadership role with a genuine build mandate
- Own the Sonic HealthPlus RTO (RTO 51535) and shape the future Training Academy
- Set one national standard of competence across a network serving some of Australia’s biggest employers

Join Australia's Leading Provider of Occupational Health & General Medical Services Backed by the world-leading Sonic Healthcare network, Sonic HealthPlus partners with businesses to provide a range of onsite and in-clinic occupational and corporate healthcare services. Sonic HealthPlus is committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive and collaborative workplace where our people thrive. Whether you're wanting to advance your career, develop new skills or looking to make a meaningful difference in your communities, you'll be empowered to grow and succeed with us. We offer competitive remuneration, ongoing professional development and flexible working opportunities where possible, all within a supportive team culture built on integrity, excellence and care.

About The Role Our regional teams have built strong local expertise, and now we’re ready to bring it together under one national standard. You’ll lead that shift, creating a consistent, evidence-based approach where competency is proven through observed practice, not just attendance at training.

With a blank sheet and strong executive backing, you’ll design the capability infrastructure and then scale it nationally, leading two direct reports and providing functional leadership to our regional Training and Capability Managers. This is a role for someone who thrives on influence and collaboration, bringing people together around a shared standard.

What You’ll Do

- Design and own a national competency framework covering all clinic-based job families, including standards,

assessment methods and progression pathways
- Build blended learning pathways for nurses, exercise physiologists, collectors, audiometry and spirometry technicians, medical administration and the National Contact Centre
- Establish a nationally consistent delivery model, including train-the-trainer capability and calibrated assessment across regions
- Hold end-to-end accountability for our RTO, including ASQA compliance, validation and audit readiness
- Partner with Clinical Governance and senior clinical leaders so training reflects current protocols, NATA requirements and relevant Australian Standards
- Protect the independence of competency assessment from operational pressure
- Develop the strategy and phased roll-out for the Sonic HealthPlus Training Academy, and measure capability against operational, clinical and financial outcomes

What You’ll Bring

- Experience leading, or closely partnering with, an RTO, including ASQA registration and the Standards for RTOs
- Senior capability or learning leadership in a multi-site or geographically distributed organisation
- A proven record designing competency frameworks and role-based learning pathways that have been adopted
- Strong influencing skills across clinical and operational leaders in a matrixed environment, and experience leading dotted-line and dispersed teams
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field are highly regarded and will be an advantage.
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Perth

Desirable:

healthcare or other regulated clinical experience; Certificate IV TAE or higher; experience standing up a training academy, extending RTO scope or implementing an LMS; familiarity with AS/NZS 4308 and NATA requirements. Why Choose Sonic HealthPlus?
