3 month temporary assignment for a WHS professionalMy client has an urgent requirement for an experienced temporary Work Health & Safety Specialist.

- Location: South of the river
- Minimum 3 months, likely short to medium term, with potential to transition to permanent
- Start: ASAP
- Hours: Full-time hours with hybrid flex and free in office parking
- Remuneration: FTE base equivalent of $130,000-$150,000 plus super.
- Reports to: Director of People, Culture & Safety

There's a substantial body of work already underway. This would suit someone who is hands-on and is delivery focused who can come in, quickly understand the environment, set priorities and move work forward. This isn't an advisory-only role and it won't suit someone who needs significant direction.

Candidate profile

- Relevant tertiary qualification in WHS, People & Culture or a related discipline
- Substantial experience at WHS Manager or senior WHS level, ideally in a complex operational environment health, transport, resources or similar would be well regarded)
- Strong experience managing and improving WHS management systems




- Practical experience in workers' compensation and return-to-work coordination
- Able to lead and deliver a program of safety initiatives and improvement activities
- Experienced in safety metrics, analysis and reporting, including to senior leadership
- Experience coordinating and undertaking safety audits and assurance activities, and following through on corrective actions
- Able to partner effectively with leaders and operational teams to improve safety performance
- Comfortable working autonomously with sound judgement and limited direction
