Mackay Workshop – Heavy Diesel Fitters

Based in a modern workshop in Paget, you’ll work on major rebuilds and overhauls of ultra-class mining equipment, with a strong focus on Liebherr T282 Haul Trucks and associated components.

Mackay Workshop – Auto Electrician

Permanent Workshop Position | Home Every Night

Join the workshop team in Paget working on major mining equipment rebuilds, servicing and electrical repairs.

The role will suit an experienced Auto Electrician with a strong background in heavy mobile or mining equipment who enjoys workshop-based work and wants the stability of being home every night.

Key responsibilities:

- Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
- Electrical repairs and maintenance
- Strip, assess and rebuild electrical components
- Wiring and electrical system repairs
- Working on heavy mining equipment
- Reading electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Maintaining high safety and quality standards

Bowen Basin Field Service – Heavy Diesel Fitters

Join an established field service team supporting major mining operations throughout the Bowen Basin.

You’ll carry out breakdowns, scheduled maintenance, shutdown work and repairs across some of the largest mining equipment in Australia.

Equipment includes:

- Liebherr R9800 Excavators
- CAT 6060 Excavators
- Hitachi EX5600 Excavators

What’s on offer:

- 7/7, 2/1 or 3/1 rosters
- Permanent full-time employment
- Competitive hourly rates + overtime
- Company ute and fuel card
- Paid travel from Mackay
- FIFO options available for suitable candidates
- Ongoing work across major mining operations

What We’re Looking For:

Heavy Diesel Fitters:

- Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel Fitter trade qualification
- Heavy mining/mobile equipment experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screen

Auto Electricians:

- Australian-recognised Auto Electrical trade qualification
- Heavy mobile/mining equipment experience highly regarded
- Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Current Driver’s License
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screen

Highly regarded:

- Liebherr, Caterpillar, Hitachi or Komatsu experience
- Forklift License
- EWP
- Working at Heights
- Standard 11
- Current Coal Board Medical
