Shellharbour Private Hospital is an acute surgical facility, comprising of 3 operating theatres, a rehabilitation centre and a 46 bed Ward. The hospital has an excellent reputation in providing high-quality patient-centred care to the local community.

The General Services Officer will be responsible for hotel food services and general duties. The successful candidate will be confident in multitasking, demonstrate maturity, leadership and professionalism and thrive on working within a flexible, agile environment.

The position offered is permanent full time - (4 days per week). This can include shifts starting at 0530 or finishing at 2000. It can also include weekend work. Flexibility is available for suitable candidate.

Essential Criteria

- Current Working with Children check/Police Check
- Flexibility to work day, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts are essential.
- Competent keyboard skills and MS office proficiency




- An understanding of a Food Safety Program, HACCP, Quality Management Processes and WHS requirements - or willing to learn
- Knowledge of Infection Control standards.
- Effective time management skills
- Excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills
- Ability to physically handle medical and non-medical supplies
- Current drivers licence

Desirable Criteria:

- Healthcare experience
- Food safety certificate (will be required prior to commencement)
