The Opportunity

Good Human Talent is partnering with a well-respected Victorian public sector organisation to appoint a People & Culture Advisor as it builds out its People & Culture team. Our client looks after some of the state’s most spectacular and much-loved regional destinations, places that welcome visitors year-round and play a vital role in the communities around them. With a strong sense of purpose and a focus on long-term sustainability, it’s an organisation where the work genuinely matters.

It’s also at an exciting stage of growth, bringing its sites together under shared ways of working, so you’ll have a real hand in shaping how people are supported across the business.

This is a rare chance to do meaningful HR work in a setting that's anything but ordinary, with mountains as your workplace and a mission that matters close to home.

This permanent, full-time role is based in North East Victoria, with 2–3 days a week spent on site alongside local resort teams. A car allowance is provided based on kilometres travelled.

About the role

As the go-to People & Culture contact for the region, you'll be a trusted, one-stop shop for local site leaders. This is a hands-on generalist role covering:

- Managing performance and conduct matters from the initial complaint through to resolution, with support and escalation pathways for complex matters.
- Handling end-to-end recruitment,

from writing the job ad to onboarding new starters.
- Bringing local insight to workforce planning and supporting leaders through consultation and organisational change.
- Interpreting and advising on employment legislation and industrial instruments.
- Helping leaders build confident, capable people management practices.
- Working with a supportive, team-oriented P&C; team to deliver consistent service across all sites.

The human we're looking for

You're a genuine, down-to-earth person who connects easily with everyone, from senior leaders to frontline teams. Upbeat, humble and happy to roll up your sleeves. Just as importantly, you act with integrity, keep clear professional boundaries and stay objective, even within a close-knit regional community. You'll also bring:

- Generalist HR experience, ideally in an operational or multi-site environment.
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation and the confidence to interpret and advise on industrial instruments.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- A qualification in HR, IR, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience in fast-paced, operational or seasonal environments with large or diverse workforces will be highly regarded. How to Apply
