About the role

NCG Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a talented HVAC Technician – 4th Year Apprentice or Qualified to join our growing team in Oakleigh South, Victoria. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Whether you're in your final year of apprenticeship or a recently qualified technician, you'll be working on diverse projects in both residential and commercial environments, contributing to the comfort and safety of our clients.

This role offers hands-on experience, mentorship from experienced professionals, and the chance to build a rewarding career in the trades.

Key responsibilities

- Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing
- Diagnosing and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration faults
- Decommission and install new split/ducted system in both high end Domestic and Commercial sites when required
- Refrigerant recovery, pressure testing, evacuation and charging
- Electrical fault-finding and basic control system diagnostics
- Identifying issues and providing practical solutions to customers
- Completing service reports, job sheets and required documentation
- Working safely and in accordance with Australian Standards, regulations and company procedures
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and leaving sites clean and tidy
- Communicating professionally with customers, builders, site managers and other trades

About you

- Currently enrolled in 4th year of an HVAC apprenticeship or recently completed your full qualification in air conditioning and refrigeration
- Sound knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems,



components and operational principles
- Competency with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment commonly used in the trade
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems relevant to heating and cooling applications
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and system diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites
- Arctick Refrigerant handling licence, Disconnect/Re connect (D Permit), BPC Plumbing Registration
