/n About the role /n /n NetStrategy works exclusively in K–12 education. We have supported over 400 schools across Australia for more than 40 years. ICT is not a sideline for us — it is the business.
The people we hire are responsible for the technology that keeps schools running. /n This ICT Support role sits at the centre of that work. You will be based in office at a leading independent school, embedded in the day-to-day technology operations of the school. You will work alongside experienced engineers and service delivery professionals, contributing to real infrastructure across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and end-user environments. /n This is an entry-to-junior role.
We hire on aptitude and attitude as much as experience. If you are early in your career and serious about growing into a systems and infrastructure specialist, this is a structured path to do that. /n /n What you’ll be doing /n /n
- Providing day-to-day ICT support across end-user computing, connectivity, and core infrastructure
/n
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues — working through problems methodically and escalating when needed
/n
- Contributing to infrastructure projects alongside senior engineers
/n
- Work within a team to support broad and varied systems from leading vendors.
/n
- Maintaining clear, timely communication with school staff and stakeholders when issues arise
/n
- Keeping technical documentation accurate and up to date
/n /n /n Who we’re looking for /n /n
- You may be finishing a degree or certification, or you may have one to three years of hands-on experience. What matters more than credentials is how you approach the work.
/n
- You work through problems logically and know when to ask for help
/n
- You communicate clearly with people who aren’t technical — and you don’t make them feel like they should be
/n
- You follow through. If you say you’ll do something, you do it
/n
- You’re curious about technology and take it on yourself to stay current
/n
- You take the work seriously but don’t need to be chased to do it well
/n /n /n Skills and Experience /n Essential: /n /n
- Foundational knowledge of networking, server environments, and end-user computing
/n
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and cloud-based infrastructure
/n
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues methodically
/n
- Clear written and verbal communication
/n
- Full Australian work rights
/n /n Advantageous: /n /n
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or Azure environments
/n
- Familiarity with ITSM tools or ticketing systems (ConnectWise is a plus)
/n
- Exposure to Extreme Networks, HPE Aruba, Juniper MIST, or similar switching/Wi-Fi platforms
/n
- Experience with backup technologies (Veeam, Barracuda)
/n
- MacOS and JAMF experience
/n
- CCNA, JNCP, ACMP or equivalent certification
/n
- Any prior experience in or with a school environment
/n /n /n Why NetStrategy? /n We work in one sector. That means the context you build here is deep rather than scattered. You will understand schools — their operations, their rhythms, their risk profile — in a way that generalist IT providers never do. /n NetStrategy invests in the development of its technical staff. This role has a clear path forward, and we support people who want to move along it. /n /n Our Values /n /n
- Own It
/n
- Go Further
/n
- Lift Others
/n
- Stay Grounded
/n /n Note: NetStrategy is not in a position to offer visa sponsorship. Applications open to those with full Australian Work Rights. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. No recruiters please. /n
