A fantastic newly created permanent in-house Corporate Lawyer position located centrally in PerthYour new company

Our Perth-based client is highly established and growing, and is currently recruiting for a permanent in-house Corporate Lawyer.

Your new role

This is a newly created in-house Corporate Lawyer position and reports into the in-house General Counsel.This role has arisen as the scope of projects and workload has grown for the business over the past 6-12 months.

As the in-house Corporate Lawyer, you will be responsible for;

- Delivering contract review and legal advice, drafting and negotiation on assigned matters within agreed scope and delegation.
- Maintaining accurate legal records, templates and guidance within the role’s scope. Scoping, instructing and managing external legal advisers on assigned matters.
- This position contributes to commercial, procurement, project and corporate decisions through early legal input on obligations, options and risk.
- Plus other ad hoc legal activities.

What you'll need to succeed

- Law degree, admission to practise in Australia and a current practising certificate.




- Ideally have Top-Tier Law Firm experience plus commercial legal experience.
- Approximately 5 years’ post-qualification corporate and commercial legal experience.
- Strong commercial contracting experience, including drafting, review and negotiation.
- Experience supporting corporate matters, transactions, procurement or project activities and related due diligence.
- Sound understanding of corporations law, corporate governance and company secretarial practice.
