The Fleurieu Regional Waste Authority is a Local Government regional subsidiary that is proud of its up-to-date, circular, environmentally responsible waste and resource systems. It delivers high-quality, flexible services to the communities of its member Councils of Alexandrina, Victor Harbor, Yankalilla and Kangaroo Island. FRWA provides waste management and collection services to the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island and is seeking expressions of interest for two independent members to serve on its Board of Management.

The Board of Management is responsible for managing the business and other affairs of the Authority and ensuring the Authority acts in accordance with its Charter and its delegations. The Board consists of four people appointed from the member Councils, an independent Chairperson and two independent members. We are seeking one independent member with Local Government finance skills and one independent member with strong governance skills.



Both positions will be filled for 3-year terms.

The Board meets a minimum of six (6) times per year at the FRWA Regional Office in Goolwa. A sitting fee will be paid to the successful appointees. Members will be required to comply with the relevant provisions of the Local Government Act 1999.
