About the Role

We have an excellent opportunity for an Inventory Controller to join our Smithfield team. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory control across our Smithfield and Queanbeyan sites, maintaining system integrity, and contributing to operational performance and customer service outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and manage daily inventory of extrusion, glass, rubber, hardware, and other components




- Accurately complete goods receipting and issue processes within ERP systems
- Maintain stock records and locations, performing regular cycle counts
- Liaise with Purchasing Officers to ensure timely stock replenishment
- Review imported glass and end cap usage, providing improvement recommendations
- Support Finance with bi-annual stocktakes
- Ensure inventory accuracy and meet KPIs such as DIFOT and IDS
- Drive process improvements using lean tools and methods

What We’re Looking For

- Has at least 2 years’ experience in an inventory, warehouse, or stock control role
- Is confident using ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Office
- Has solid attention to detail and data accuracy
- Communicates well across departments and takes ownership of tasks
- Brings a “can-do” attitude with the ability to work both independently and in a team
- Understands how accurate inventory management supports production efficiency and customer satisfaction
