Join Smart Energy and work alongside an experienced A-Grade Electrician in our recent Albury/Wodonga in‑house installation team.
We’re leaders in home electrification, helping Australians make the move to smarter energy through solar, batteries and more. Backed by Rinnai Australia , we’re growing our dedicated installation teams with a focus on quality workmanship, safety and great customer service.
As part of a two‑person team, you’ll support solar and battery installations, servicing and maintenance—building practical skills and seeing the results of your work every day.

What You’ll Be Doing
Working alongside our qualified electrician, you’ll:
- Assist with solar and battery installations, including site preparation, material handling and equipment setup.
- Help position and secure mounting equipment and solar panels, following safe work procedures.
- Support servicing and maintenance jobs with tools, materials and general site assistance.
- Keep job sites, tools and the work vehicle tidy and organised.
- Help complete digital job records and site documentation.
- Provide friendly, respectful customer service on every job.
What You’ll Bring
You’ll be either:
- A current 2nd or 3rd year electrical apprentice willing to transfer your apprenticeship to Smart Energy; or
- A labourer or trade assistant with relevant labouring, construction or trade experience.
You’ll also have:
- A genuine interest in solar, batteries and renewable energy.
- A White Card and valid Australian driver’s licence.
- Working at Heights certification, or a willingness to obtain it.
- A safety‑first attitude and confidence working outdoors and at heights.
- The ability to carry out physical work and handle tools and materials safely.
- Reliability, initiative and a willingness to learn.
- Pride in your work and the ability to work closely with a teammate.
- Willingness to travel for regional jobs approximately one week per month.
$32 - $38 an hour
